Course Content: This course will seek to shape the way we read Scripture through an understanding that the Bible is one story with a single, unified plotline: God’s mission to reconcile humanity and creation to Himself. We will take a wide overview of Scripture trying to see how the individual parts which sometimes cause us difficulty fit into the larger story of God’s loving pursuit of humanity.
Teach Us To Pray
Teachers: Andy Holt
Time: 10:45 a.m. to Noon, began February 7
Place: Room B209 (Doulos Class)
Course Content: “I’d like to know more about prayer.” “I don’t really understand God’s ideas about prayer.” We often need encouragement, some spurring on, some fresh input on ways to pray. This class will be an eight-week study on prayer. Our textbook: God’s Word. Our goal: To encourage one another to pray to our wonderful Lord. In these eight classes you’ll study some of the teachings and examples of the practice of prayer in God’s Word. “Lord, teach us to pray.” (Luke 11:1)
