An educational ministry of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church since 1966. We are a ministry to the church and community as an evangelistic outreach and to assist parents in the educational training of their children for God.

Programs

Preschool (for 2s, 3s, 4s & 5s)

Our preschool program is a 2, 3 or 5 day option whick allows the child a greater depth and amount of social interaction, while learning concepts necessary to build skills. Art, alphabet, Bible colors, shapes, number, safety, rhythm/music, speech/language, character/moral development, cooperation, teamwork, conflict resolution and firne and gross motor skills are age appropriate in concept and skill levels.

    Breakdown of the number of days by ages:
  • 2 year old preschool classes are offered 2 or 3 days a week
  • 3 year old preschool classes are offered 2 or 3 days a week
  • 4 year old preschool classes are offered 2 or 3 days a week
  • 5 year old preschool classes are offered 3 or 5 days a week

Full-Time Preschool (for 3s, 4s and 5s)

Full-Time Preschool is a year-round program which meets from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is designed to help working parents. The children have busy days which include Kindergarten preparatory curriculum rich in spiritual, physical, social, intellectual and emothional areas of growth. Children also have 2 snacks, restmats and sheets, and 2 playtimes on the playground or in the gym.

We offer two classes in this program which are separated by birth dates. There is a younger class and an older class. Both of these classes are filled strictly from a waiting list. If you have an interest in these please call or e-mail us and we will be happy to put you on the waiting list.

State Certified Accredited Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a five day class that meets 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for 180 days. No staggered attendance. We offer a nine subject curriculum which includes: language arts (spelling, writing, phonics, reading), art, math, social studies, science, physical education, Bible, music, and character development.

Our Kindergarten is state certified through the Department of Education and accredited through the Association of Christian International (A.C.S.I.).

Cedar Springs School Age Care (Kindergarten-5th grade)

Cedar Springs School Age Care has an eager and well-trained staff to care for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. We provide a loving, Christian atmosphere and make our center a comfortable place for each child. Our weekday school age care program is for children in grades K-5. We offer two programs: the school year program and the summer program.

Volunteer Opportunities

Will you consider making yourself available to serve our King? Many teaching and non-teaching opportunities exist on Sunday mornings in Children’s Ministry for the 2008-09 teaching year (August 31, 2008 through August 30, 2009) in both the Nursery and Children’s Ministry.
