What is Community Life?

The Community life ministries of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church are shaped by five core values that every member is encouraged to embrace. These values not only shape who we are but what we are to do as followers of Jesus.

• Every member is encouraged to recognize that God is missional and that they too are to be missional. We desire that every member be on a mission where God has sovereignly placed them.
• Every member is encouraged to be gospel centered recognizing that they are to receive god’s grace and forgiveness and extend it to others as well.
• Every member is encouraged to understand that God has designed us for relationship with Himself and others. We must love and value most what God does and that is people, His image bearers.
• Every member is encouraged to use his or her gift for the building up of the body of Christ. We are to celebrate our diversity and pursue unity as we work in concert toward mutually agreed upon goals and objective.
• Every member is encouraged to be marked by their love for God and one another. We are to live consecrated and transparent lives with one another even as we move and speak redemptively into our culture.

As you can see the values of Community life are not programs but reflect who we are as a people who have been restored to a personal relationship with God through the work of his son Jesus Christ.
