Global Missions at Cedar Springs

World Mission

Cedar Springs supports missionaries in over 40 different countries around the world. Below is a map showing where our missionaries serve.

Our Vision

We desire to communicate the story of God’s redemption to the world so that we lead people to a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and then teach them to do the same thing. In particular, we have a passion to reach those people who have never heard the gospel before.

How Do We Do This?

We seek to facilitate the planting of churches in areas where the church is not yet established. This requires the telling of the story of God’s redemption in a manner that is consistent with the culture and environment of the people we are trying to reach. Followers are then encouraged to assemble into indigenous churches that spontaneously replicate the process themselves. Hopefully, these churches grow organically and rapidly. As early as possible, we try to perform a support role with the local believers taking a lead role.

Focus Areas

As a church we believe we have been called to focus on the least reached parts of the world. Thus, as far back as 1994 the church “adopted” certain people groups. In 2006, we began to group people groups into regional areas to give us greater focus. These regional groups currently comprise:

  • China
  • Mekong Region
  • North-East India
  • Middle East
  • Mozambique

Other regional focal points will be added as we have capacity. Some of our “adopted” people groups fall outside of these regions. These have not been forgotten. In some cases, the groups have been reached and a national church planted. In other cases, we continue to support workers in those regions, but we don’t have sufficient capacity to make them a regional focus.
