Chinese Cultural Exchange program
Do you have the desire to be a part of Global Missions, but are not sure how to become involved? Cedar Springs will be hosting its first Chinese Cultural Exchange program on July 14 through 30!
This two week program is designed to bring middle school and high school exchange students to the United States from the Sichuan Province of China. We will have the great opportunity to introduce these students to our American culture and to show them God's love! We are also excited to benefit from having local families learn about the Chinese culture! This is a great chance for the families and congregation of CSPC to participate in World Missions without leaving Knoxville!
There are many opportunities to help out with this camp! We are currently looking for loving families and individuals to help with the following:
Host Families:
Host Families will be asked to house 2 or 3 Chinese students starting July 14. During the weekdays (Monday-Friday), the students will be busy with camp activities both inside and outside of the church. We ask that families drop the students off at 8am each morning and pick them up at 5pm each night (a detailed itinerary will be provided). The students will spend the evenings and weekends with their American family.
Van Driver:
We are looking for 2-3 drivers to assist in driving the camp members to/from camp activities Dollywood, Smoky Mountains, and other daily excursions.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer this summer, please contact Mike or Kelli Stewart (202-6705 or mjstewart@utk.edu).
