Worship & Music Ministry

In the power of the Holy Spirit, to humbly and joyfully assist the gathered church in Godward affection.

Our aim and ambition at Cedar Springs is to be the worshipers the Father is seeking, worshipers who worship him in Spirit and Truth (John 4.1-26). The primary role of our music ministry is to provide the catalyst for such worship. Believing we are called to assist others in Godward affection, we strive to use the best of the great hymns and heart songs that extol the wonder, beauty, and perfections of our God.

Music in the New Testament, when it is mentioned, is to be used to reinforce Christ's word in us (Col 3.16). We are even told to address "one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs." (Eph 5.19) This sets the criteria for our song choice. What songs are worth singing to one another? Which songs from our past and our present help "let the word of Christ dwell in [us] richly?"
