Despite the church building being closed, it is still a busy time for the Cedar Springs Mission Department. We are working hard to stay abreast of both the needs and the resources available in our community. This includes regular communication with our partner ministries, community leaders, and the Knox County Health Department as we all seek to navigate this time.
It is our desire to not only continue supporting our partner ministries in their work, but also to focus on the true "gap" needs, those places where people would otherwise fall through the cracks of the systems in place to help those in crisis situations. As specific ways to meet those needs become evident, we will relay that information to our congregation, but for now, we simply ask that you join us in prayer and use this time as an opportunity to love your neighbors and others who may find themselves lonely and isolated in the coming days. As Andrew Keasling said, "We have the great privilege to be people of hope, prayer, and love to a world that is desperate for them all."
If you or someone you know has any needs or prayer requests, please let us know by emailing us at email@example.com. We have teams of folks ready to help!
By God's Grace,
The Mission Department
