"Psalm 46"

Scripture Reading:

God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!"
The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. - Psalm 46 ESV

Prayer for our Pastoral Search Team: Thank you, Lord, for being the refuge and strength to the Pastoral Search Team. You have been with them, helping them throughout this long process. So, when troubles or disappointments or criticism come, help them not to fear, but to be reminded of the protection and joy they have and will continue to experience as they walk daily with you. For you are the great GOD that cannot be destroyed. You will protect your people from the beginning to the end – no matter how chaotic, crazy or out-of-control things become. Lord of Heaven's Armies, be among them as their fortress.

Your works are glorious, O Lord, and even the destruction of the world will bring you glory. You can bring good out of any evil.

Therefore, help the Pastoral Search Team to be still and know that you are God. You will be honored throughout this church, this nation and the world. You are here among us, and you are our fortress.

Prayer for our mission partners

Manuel and Annabella Valverde are involved in church planting and leadership training in Guatemala. Manuel started the Francisco Lacueva Theological Seminary (STFL) in 2012 and they now have 14 students. Pray today for the 20 families in San Miguel Ixtahuacán, San Marcos, Guatemala that received installation of stoves in their homes. The goal of this effort is to assist pastors (most are students at Lacueva Theological Seminary) in their ministries.

Keymedia uses television, radio, the Internet and printed literature as well as local missionaries, in their Arabic and Muslim target countries, for the key purpose of planting churches and discipling local believers to take the gospel to their nation's people. Pray today for the staff of Keymedia that God will protect them and give them the strength they need to accomplish His purpose.

Closing Prayer: Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
