Today's Devotional Reading
Listen: Listen to the words of this ancient prayer and listen for the prayer of God that rises in your heart:
How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore. (Psalm 133, NIV)
*Read through the Psalm several times slowly.
Journal: How is God leading you to pray today? What words or images seem most alive to you? Why? Sit before God in prayer today and allow him to speak through these words or images. Then offer whatever arises within you back to him in prayer.
Prayer for the church, for others, for myself
How good and pleasant it is, O God, when we do life together the way you intended it to be done. For that is the way you designed it to be - a beautiful expression of the very life of the Trinity lived out in relationships. It is a way of being that begins to reverse the effects of the fall and makes space for us to be fully known and fully loved once again.
It is so beautiful and so life-giving that it is like precious oil being poured on our head -soothing, healing, and fragrant. It is like the dew of Hermon falling on Mount Zion. It is where you bestow your blessing, even life forevermore. Who in their right mind would not want to experience life like that?
So show us, O God, how to live life together in unity. Show us what it means and show us what it doesn’t mean. Give us the grace and the courage to set aside our own individualistic mindsets and be continually committed to turning toward one another in love and unity. For you made us to live in community, not in isolation. So help us to do just that. Amen.

Their main ministry is through the Torchbearer Center where they have camps, conferences, and a small Bible School during the winter. Pray today for the 30 students who are currently in the Bible School that their lives will be transformed by Christ ruling their hearts. Most of the students are from Canada, with a few from the USA, Germany and Spain.
Logan and Melissa Keck are church planters with the Egleston Project in Boston. This project has planted Christ the King, JP/Roxbury. The Kecks ask that you pray for spiritual growth and leadership development for the many new believers and spiritually young believers in their congregation. Pray today that the Lord would draw people to himself and lead Logan, Melissa and their team to continue to find fruitful new relationships.
