Will You?

Opening Prayer: O God of all creation, you made us each to fearfully and wonderfully express you in a way no one else ever can or will. Give us the grace and the courage to be the people you made us to be. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:14-27

Journal: Will you use your gift today? How?

Reflection:

Will you?

Will you use your gift today?
Will you give the world
that thing that no one else
in all of creation can give?

Will you be yourself,
and give yourself,
the way God designed you to?

If you do not,
then no one else can.
If you do,
then we will all
be richer as a result.

So what will it be?
Will you use your gift today?

Prayer for the church, for others, for myself

Global Partner Focus: Europe

Chris and Donna Roberts are living in Müllheim, Germany working with Young Life's German-speaking ministries. Chris is an Area Developer for Young Life's new service learning initiative in which he helps to develop and implement a curriculum for service learning that uses Young Life methodology to reach German-speaking teenagers. Pray today for the Roberts family as Donna is in the U.S. for medical reasons and Chris and the children make plans to travel to Tennessee to be with her for the holidays.

Joni and Friends Knoxville ministers to families and individuals affected by disabilities in Knoxville and Tennessee as well as in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and in Guatemala. The vision of Joni and Friends is to accelerate Christian ministry in the disability community by communicating the gospel and equipping Christ-honoring churches worldwide to evangelize and disciple people affected by disability. Pray today for all of the families that this ministry reaches and their volunteers.

Closing Prayer: Lord Jesus, you made us many, in order to make us one. Never let us hold back our part, or the entire body suffers. Amen.
