Opening Prayer: O Lord, forgive me when I invest so much time and energy trying to get people to see how awesome I am, when my real job is to get out of the way and help people see how awesome you are. Lord, have mercy. Amen.
Scripture: John 3:24-30
Journal: How are you trying to increase these days? How is Jesus calling you to decrease?
a little deal
everything within me
wants to be a big deal
except the Jesus within me
he wants me
to be a little deal
he wants me to live
a small and quiet and hidden life
that pays careful attention to
the movement of his Spirit within me
and how he desires
to be expressed in the world
Prayer for the church, for others, for myself

Tezar and Tatiana Putra live in Jakarta, Indonesia where Tezar is the teaching pastor at Covenant City Church. Tezar is an ordained minister under the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) and is a pastor within the Redeemer City to City Church Planting Network. Pray today for the growth of Covenant City Church in Jakarta and for all of the people who will be coming to it in the upcoming days.
The Philadelphians Prison Ministry has been ministering in Tennessee prisons for 35+ years. Its purpose is to change the thinking of a prisoner through the power and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is done through strong Bible teaching with praise and worship services, weekly in-prison group meetings, the HELP program, and a transitional housing program, the HELP House, in Knoxville. Christian ministry counseling is given to inmate's loved ones, the "silent victims" of crime. Pray today for the volunteers and the inmates that are being reached by this ministry.
Closing Prayer: Help me this day, Lord Jesus, to become less, that you might become more. Amen.
