Opening Prayer: Stop us, O God, when we go running off in a-million-and-one directions instead of being still and quiet and allowing your voice to speak to us and direct us. For when we do not stop, look, and listen, there’s a good chance we are following ourselves rather than following you. Amen.
Scripture: Psalm 46:10
Journal: What or where do you need to stop? Will you give yourself the freedom to do so? What keeps you from being able to stop?
Stop thinking it's all up to you.
Stop acting like it all depends on you.
Stop running around trying to manage and control everything.
Stop carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Stop eating the bread of anxious toil.
Be still and know that I am God.
Prayer for the church, for others, for myself

Manuel and Annabella Valverde are involved in church planting and leadership training in Guatemala. Manuel started the Francisco Lacueva Theological Seminary (STFL) in 2012 and they now have 14 students. Pray today for a mission project that Iglesia Bíblica de Guatemala (the Valverde’s church) is supporting in a backwoods area in Quiché, Guatemala.
A Hand Up For Women, Knox County Christian Women's Job Corps, strives to be a source of hope to women with the desire and motivation to lead a more self-sufficient life. Pray for the women reached by this ministry that they may know the love of Jesus.
Closing Prayer: Be still and know that I am God.
