The Cedar Springs Disaster Relief Fund is receiving donations to help people affected by both Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. Our hearts ache for those experiencing such devastating loss, and at the same time, there is still so much hope as we see the body of Christ mobilize during times like these.
In North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia, our efforts are directed through Samaritan's Purse, a faith-based organization that is responding to the needs of those who have been affected by these hurricanes. Samaritan’s Purse volunteer teams are currently working at multiple response sites, helping homeowners in Jesus’ Name by clearing debris, doing chainsaw work, tarping roofs, and mudding out flooded houses. With years of experience in disaster relief, the staff and faithful volunteers of Samaritan's Purse truly are experts when it comes to these situations. They work very closely with local churches, and as one of the first organizations on the scene after a disaster, they know the community's needs and are able to much more effectively and efficiently meet those needs. In addition, Samaritan's Purse will continue to have a lasting presence in these areas long after the "newness" has worn off and most volunteers have gone home.
If you would like to make a financial contribution to assist the people affected by the hurricanes, please designate Disaster Relief with your contribution. Click here for Online Giving. If giving by check, please put "Disaster Relief" in the memo line.
