Service Opportunites in Hospitality
Our Parking Team extends a personal welcome and creates a hospitable atmosphere from the moment guests and members arrive on campus. The Parking Team assists drivers by directing them to parking spaces, promotes a smooth, safe flow of traffic, assists those walking on campus, provides directions, and offers aid to those who might need extra help, such as seniors or families with small children. The Parking Team is the loving, protective, serving Body of Christ as folks move from the parking areas to the entrances of the buildings where they then are met by Greeters.
Our Greeters are a key part of our mission as they extend the love of Christ personally to every guest and member, providing an enduring impression of our congregation. Given the number of those worshiping, it might be easy for a guest or member to feel lost in the crowd. Our Greeters seek to negate that possibility by welcoming each person with a smile, a caring word, and an offer of assistance, creating an inviting environment in which all feel valued.
Welcome Center and Guest Services Desk
Our Welcome Center Teams assist guests and members who have questions about our church or need information about programs, classes, ministries, and overall mission. They provide written materials and help folks find their way around our campus. Welcome Team volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and enjoy serving as the hosts and hostesses of our church when we gather to worship.
Ushers provide a personal, one-on-one welcome for members and guests as they enter the sanctuary, setting the tone for the worship experience. Ushers help guests and members find appropriate seats, assist with any special needs, and coordinate an orderly worship environment. They extend the pastoral care of Jesus to all of those who come to worship.
Our Guest Reception volunteers provide a friendly atmosphere for guests to come and receive refreshments, fellowship, and information about the church after each worship service. “Hosting volunteers” greet visitors with warm hospitality and conversation and answer any questions. “Food volunteers” provide finger foods each week to be offered to guests.
