Music

Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church is home to a music and worship ministry where we pray that all may experience the power of God and are discipled in their faith and their musical gifts through intentional times of worship, rehearsal, retreat, outreach, and fellowship.

For more information about connecting through the music and worship ministry, please contact Andrew Duncan, Director of Choral and Orchestral Ministries at andrewduncan@cspc.net.

A Cedar Springs Christmas

December 2 at 6:00 p.m.

Join us for A Cedar Springs Christmas: Come, Behold the Wondrous Mystery. We’ll feature our Sanctuary Choir, Rejoice Youth Choir, orchestra, and band. There will be times of scripture reading, congregational singing, anthems, and preaching. This is a great way to start off your Christmas season so bring your whole family!

The program will last about an hour and fifteen minutes, and is designed to be appropriate and engaging for all ages. We will be offering this service just once this year, so please plan on arriving a little earlier than normal to ensure that you can find parking and a place to sit. Overflow seating areas will be available as well.

Worship Band

The Worship Band leads us in worship each Sunday, and is made up of vocals, guitars, drums, bass, piano, organ, keyboard, strings, winds… and sometimes even an accordion. The Worship Band rehearses individually throughout the week and together on Sunday mornings before the first worship service. Contact Landon Paul, Director of Corporate Worship for more information: landonpaul@cspc.net

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir leads in worship on a regular basis through anthems, congregational song, and other service music. The choir meets to rehearse on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the East Wing Rehearsal Hall, and is open to all adults.

Orchestra

The Cedar Springs orchestra is open to anyone college-aged and above. Older high school students (junior/senior) are considered for this group provided they have demonstrated they can play the music at this level. The orchestra meets for rehearsal on Wednesdays from 5:45-7:00 p.m. on the week before they are scheduled to play for worship services.

Rejoice! Youth Choir

Rejoice! Youth Choir is an 80-voice group made up of middle and high school students, grades 6-12. They meet to worship and rehearse on Sunday afternoons from 3:30-5:45 p.m. in the East Wing Rehearsal Hall. The Rejoice! Choir sings about once a month in worship services, and participates in a missions/music tour in the summertime.
